I didn’t set out to create another skincare brand. I set out to create the skincare I couldn’t find.

My fascination with skincare began more than 30 years ago.

Long before Maree Anne Botanicals existed, I was fascinated by beautiful skincare, botanical ingredients and the way different formulations could change how our skin looked and felt.

Over the years, that fascination only grew. And as my own skin changed, so did what I expected from the products I used.

I wanted more than a moisturiser that simply made my skin feel soft.

I wanted exceptional hydration. I wanted my skin to feel plumper, smoother, firmer and beautifully nourished. I wanted sophisticated ingredients that supported ageing skin, but I also wanted the richness and beauty of botanicals.

Most of all, I wanted skincare that I genuinely loved putting on my skin every single day.

And I couldn’t quite find it.

Some natural skincare was beautiful to use, but I wanted more from the formulations. At the other end of the spectrum were highly active products that didn’t give me the luxurious botanical experience I was searching for.

I didn’t believe I should have to choose between beautiful botanical skincare and serious formulation.

Eventually, after more than three decades of fascination with skincare, I stopped searching for what I wanted.

I decided to create it.

The Beginning of Age Alchemy

Creating Maree Anne Botanicals became a journey of discovering just how extraordinary a formulation could be when every ingredient was chosen with purpose.

I became captivated by botanicals such as Acmella Oleracea, Tremella, Centella Asiatica, Kakadu Plum, Hibiscus, Prickly Pear, Cacay and Camellia, and by sophisticated skincare actives including peptides, ceramides, Ectoin, Niacinamide and Coenzyme Q10.

But I never wanted to create an enormous ingredient list simply for the sake of it.

Every ingredient needed a reason to be there.

And every formula needed to deliver more than impressive ingredients on a label.

It needed to feel extraordinary on the skin.

The Velvet Cleanser needed to transform an everyday necessity into a beautiful ritual, leaving the skin remarkably soft, clean and velvety.

The Age Alchemy Firming Day Cream needed to leave my skin feeling hydrated, plump, smooth and beautifully luminous.

And the Age Alchemy Night Cream needed to feel deeply nourishing and restorative, cocooning the skin in luxurious botanical oils, peptides, ceramides and antioxidants before bed.

I wanted to wake in the morning and love how my skin felt.

Beautiful Skincare Shouldn’t Be Complicated

After more than 30 years of loving skincare, I came to believe something surprisingly simple.

More products don’t necessarily mean better skincare. Better formulations do.

I didn’t want to create a range that required ten different bottles just to complete a morning routine.

I wanted to create a beautifully simple ritual built around exceptional formulations.

That simplicity became the heart of the Age Alchemy Collection.

I created it because, after more than 30 years of loving skincare, I still couldn’t find exactly what I wanted to put on my own skin.

So I created it.
